2 Recipe Ideas For Clean Eating

Healthy Food

When you say 'clean eating', it means that you should indulge in a diet that consists of whole foods like fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, whole grains, and lean proteins. In this process, you should also stay away from sweets, packaged foods, and highly processed snack foods.

An ideal clean meal in Vacaville would be something like this: spinach salad with avocado, quinoa, walnuts, grilled chicken, and apple slices. Just by looking at the contents, you can say that everything included in there are whole foods without any unhealthy additives in them.

TIPS FOR CLEAN EATING IN VACAVILLE CA

If you want to start eating cleaning, you should keep in mind the following tips:

  • Prepare and eat more foods at home - Since it will your first time, just start preparing simple meals to get yourself into the habit. You can start with something like Greek yogurt and fresh berries for breakfast then whole grain roasted turkey and avocado wrap with red pepper slices for your lunch. Whatever you have in mind, just make sure that it's something that you can easily prepare on your own.
  • Avoid highly processed, packaged foods - There's no doubt that you will often come across a long list of ingredients and there's a chance that not most of them are natural. Everything listed on the ingredients list should be foods that you can easily recognize like cinnamon, flaxseed, and dried apple. If you're not familiar with the ingredient or haven't heard of it yet, it's best to put them aside for now and use them once you've done your research on them.
  • Avoid foods that are drastically altered - If you are to choose between apple juice vs a whole apple, it's a good rule of thumb to always stick to its most natural, basic form. There are instances where processing can be good for foods, such as pasteurization since this process allows eggs and dairy products safe for consumption. You can also opt for frozen fruits and vegetables because the processing in this one is only minimal, and they may even have higher nutrients than the fresh ones.

Clean eating isn't that hard at all and you can always modify your meals once you've become too familiar with the process. This diet plan can also go well for those who are trying to lose weight and the combination of these two will produce amazing results. Is it okay to eat dairy foods?

There's been some argument about the natural status of dairy foods since it comes from cows.

A cow's milk contains all the micronutrients, protein, and fatty acids that calves will need to grow healthy and strong. This is a concept that's similar to humans since breast milk is designed to help nurture human babies.

However, milk is also consumed by adults and humans are known to be the only species that indulge in drinking milk from other animals. Humans share no similarity to calves, and they don't have the need to grow, but why do we drink milk? This argument may seem fair but there's actually more to it.

Dairy isn't necessarily needed by humans from an evolutionary perspective and it was only until the agricultural revolution that we started consuming it. There are some parts of this world that have consumed dairy for a thousand years already, and with this information, the human genes have been altered to allow dairy consumption.

So dairy may not have been considered natural back then by humans but further evidence shows that we have adapted to it. With that, dairy has been considered to be a natural consumption both as a food and as a beverage.

Is gluten-free food any good to be eaten?

People who are suffering from gluten-sensitivity, celiac disease, or skin disorder dermatitis herpetiformis are recommended to indulge in a gluten-free diet. This diet can also be ideal for those who type 1 diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, HIV-associated enteropathy, and the neurological disorder gluten ataxia.

Apart from its convenience for certain conditions, a gluten-free diet doesn't have any particular health benefits to offer. But this diet can still provide a healthy way of eating depending on which gluten-free foods you consider, how often you eat them, and whether you have other healthy food choices.

The best naturally gluten-free foods to include in this diet are fruits, vegetables, lean meats, healthy fats, low-fat dairy, and whole gluten-free grains. You should take note to never replace foods that contain gluten with more red meat, starchy vegetables, full-fat dairy, fats and sweets since this can lead to a higher intake of cholesterol, sodium, saturated fat, and unwanted calories. Additionally, commercially prepared gluten-free snacks and bakery products are high in fat, sugar, salt, and refined carbohydrate so it's best to avoid these as well.
